Jury research helps you understand potential jurors’ reactions, the strengths of your case, and possible challenges to overcome.

You have compiled a thorough case, but how can you know how your arguments, witnesses, and evidence will be perceived? Jury research utilizing mock trials or focus groups can assist in understanding how a potential jury may respond to your case. This understanding will help you build confidence, develop strategy, avoid problems, and help you win your case.

Every case is different and needs a slightly different research design. Therefore, we work with the attorneys to develop a research design that best suits each case. This may be an in-depth approach that includes recruiting, moderating, hosting, and analysis of the group, or it could just include New South Research recruiting potential jurors for you to interview. Our research design utilizes either a mock trial or a focus group to provide you insight (please see ‘mock trial or focus group’ for more information).

To prepare for your mock trial, New South Research develops an in-depth understanding of the case by reading the complaint, motions for summary judgment, and key witness depositions. We then use that understanding to develop questionnaires that will help identify key arguments, as well as the strengths and potential weaknesses of your case. Our range of experience includes research in a variety of cases, including:

  • Employment issues
    • Discrimination
    • Harassment
  • Contract Disputes
  • Wrongful Death
  • Personal Injury
